Beginning

Recently I've come to the conclusion that I need a place to just let it all out -- all the scary thoughts, good thoughts, feelings, etc -- and a place to journal the insights I'm gleaning from therapy so I don't forget them. That's the tricky bit about doing so much therapy. It seems as though I'm working so hard and there are things I want to remember that I can't seem to remember. I do remember some things and most of the things I truly need to recall, I somehow manage to dredge up from my memories, but on occasion there are things that Drake or Dr. Dann say that I will think in the moment that I want to remember, but then can't several days later. I have a feeling that if I take a minute or two to jot down those things on paper immediately after my sessions and then later come here and journal a bit, I may recall them better and learn more from therapy as a whole.

Lately I've been writing more about what I'm feeling and thinking because I had all of that stuff swimming around in my head and it was truly making me crazy. Earlier this week, I started an entry in my "regular" blog which I never plan on publishing (since that one gets actually read on occasion or something), but have since decided that's a bad place to keep those kinds of thoughts. I wouldn't want to accidentally publish them! That's where this new blog comes into play. It's totally private and will be just for my own personal use. I'll likely read passages of it to Drake as the need arises in the context of our sessions too. To that end, I will be publishing each post, but since I've locked the privacy settings of this down so that it's not searchable on Google or other search engines and it's not visible in the Blogger database, there's no one but me who will read these musings. So that's that, an intro for my own purposes. Done and dusted, as it were.
